literally captured NOTHING FROM THE ORIGINAL. if you dont wanna fall asleep in the movie theaters i do not recommend the remake and instead js rewatch the og. i hate how remakes remove 'problematic' parts that were actually criticized and added for a reason. Homophobia still exists, especially in high school, removing that from movies doesn't make it 'progressive' , it just sweeps the reality that many minorities live under the rug. everything that made the movie iconic and good was stolen and ripped from the main plot. + everything they stripped away was switched with FORCED REPERSENTATION. just because u slap a black person in doesnt mean its suddenly way better, coming from a black person.
