Critics whom have downvoted this movie obviously were not fans of this franchise. This movie was meant for fans, and younger children. There are cameos they wouldn't recognize. (I.E ; Matpat. CoryXKenshin, Sparky the dog, the wall of employees that had a huge amount of YouTubers.)
"Its not scary!"
"No gore?!"
PG-13 movies aren't meant to give children of 13 years of age heart-attacks, nor show them intense blood splattering and guts flying off the walls.
I think instead of focusing on how great or "bad" of a movie this is, we should focus on the fact that this all started from a one man team. Scott Cawthon started this franchise single-handedly back in the days of Five Nights at Freddy's 1. We should be proud of his accomplishments and how his games were not a one-hit-wonder. All games made a huge fuss in the community when they came out, inspiring fan games that sometimes become just as popular.
Thank you Scott for so much, and may you finally retire in peace knowing you have made a legacy upon yourself.
