HORRIBLE MOVIE!! Expected much more from Emma Watson and Tom Hanks!! Extreme plot holes, it made absolutely no sense. The ending is very weird. They don’t explain why anything happens and there is no closure or ending thoughts/ lesson. NO character development and the death of Mercier seems quite unnecessary. Annie’s mid-life crisis was irrelevant and out of context and distracted the whole premis of the story. There was NO plotline and they did not explain the setting or give the watchers any context to the story. There was no RESOLUTION!! What was it that the men did wrong? What were the secreative emails and messages they were sending each other? The ending is too abrupt. What was the significance of the random melodramatic and anticlimactic kayaking scenes??!! Waste of time!!! How did she become so famous out of nowhere? What is the circle!!!!!! So many questions that were never answered during the tedious 1hr and 49min! The writing was horrendous! The idea was good but the actual end result (the movie) was mediocre. FORGETTABLE! Horrible, horrible, very bad!
