A Balanced Take on Housefull 5 – More Than Meets the Eye
There’s been a fair share of negative buzz around Housefull 5, with some calling it sleazy or criticizing the portrayal of women, while others seem more focused on bringing up past controversies — particularly Nana Patekar’s. Let’s not forget, Nana was originally set to be part of Housefull 4, but due to the controversy that arose, his career faced a major blow.
Now, with Housefull 5, he makes a strong comeback — and let’s be honest, he owns it. Yes, some scenes could have been trimmed or done differently, but overall, I didn’t find anything particularly offensive or over the top. We’ve seen far worse in mainstream Bollywood where women have been objectified to a much greater extent — and ironically, those very films received applause from the same critics now complaining.
This backlash feels less about the film and more about Nana’s involvement. But let’s remember — there are courts to decide what’s right and wrong. After everything that’s been thrown at him, Nana Patekar has stood tall, and Housefull 5 marks his powerful return.
This isn’t just an “Akki movie” — it’s equally a Nana, Biddu (Jackey Shroff), and Baba (Sanjay Dutt) film. And yes, the movie surprises with an unexpected twist — something new for the Housefull series. It’s a surprisingly balanced blend of comedy and mystery.
If you’re a Nana fan, go show your support — Housefull 5 deserves a watch
