Intelligent and funny. Would have loved to have a season two 😢

The film is annoying and exasperating. The Kurt and Dale characters became the dumbest people. I don’t think anyone in their right minds would be friends with them, much less go into business with them. Jason Bateman, Jennifer Aniston and Jamie Foxx made it bearable but the real surprise is Chris Pine. Watch it for his charming performance. It made Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day’s performances look even more labored and exhausting

The film tries very hard to be quirky and outrageous but the lead characters are so repugnant, watching the film bordered on torture

I was expecting a lot since I loved the book but this movie is too long and boring. It should be a feel good rom com but it was long winded and exhausting to watch. The stars are charisma-free and lacks chemistry. It was as if the writers were hoping that if they could give the characters enough screen time, you would be more likely to root for them but alas, I just wanted to finish this film. The only highlight was Glen Powell, whose talents were wasted here.
