As an avid fan of the original series I’m so terribly disappointed with this reboot. The only thing keeping me from a 1 star rating is my love for the characters created decades ago. The writing feels forced; trying overly hard to be current to the point of discomfort. New characters feel like a cliché while our original 3 ladies are a shadow of their former fabulousness (except for Carrie’s iconic fashion statements which thank goodness continue). And then along comes episode 7, And Just Like That all’s right with the world again.
