In Revelation 3, the letter to Laodicea warns they're about to lose their place as one God’s chosen churches because they boast about heir godliness (holiness) but deny God’s power making them lukewarm and God wants to spit them out of his mouth. This book is all about this drivel. Living a holy life is descriptive of God’s power at work in a person. See Galatians 2:20 KJV — I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
