My first proper yuri manga. And I have to say I was genuinely blown away by how well written it was. I had this manga on my read list in 2024, and I didn't expect it to be something so heavy yet so comforting at the same time. The cover of the last volume made me think it would be a short manga that would deal with nostalgia but I got instead was so much better.
The way grief is dealt with in this manga is a fresh take; most time it's just emptiness or crying etc, but it shows you that death doesn't need to always have to be you crying your heart out; you're allowed to move on, and this manga doesn't paint moving on as a guilty act.
I couldn't ask for any more out of the plot, and the art is really good too, which just adds on to the emotional depth.
If I could reread this without my memory of it, I'd do it in a heartbeat, regardless of the tears I shed at the end.
