I would say that the story was a bit slow in the first hour. I can imagine this could’ve been less than the released air time. But I got so excited with the development of the story from Mid to end.
It’s just sad to think that their family business turned into their death wish. Also I wished there was more clarity with the transition. Specially when there came a forgery case then Mauricio fleeing then his feeling becoming cold for Patrizia. I just merely assumed at some gray areas. Hahaha. But man, every character is cunning in their own way.
Got so invested, I wished they made it clear that the 2 got daughters. Not just one. Moreso, the lavish lifestyle of Mauricio towards the end. His character development was from a possible protagonist to an ahole who left his family in the middle of crisis and eventually lived a lavish life compared to what he portrayed onset. Who also ended up giving up what he has left in the company because of his overspending.
I already knew Jared will be the prosthetics cousin but I’m so dumbfounded after watching for 2.5 hrs. That Al Pacino was Aldo Gucci.
Overall, I kinda loved the film. It’s another reason to applaud Lady Gaga specially her method acting in this film. The ironic role of Salma Hayek who happened to be the wife or the real owner of Gucci now. Adam Driver was so good too. Great work for the cunning resemblance of the actors vs. Real characters.
It’s a work of art. Something I can watch in the cable in the future.
Cinematic. Crime for Passion. No Price for Art.
