The chemistry between the leads is a bit muted and the book-sniffing is pretty contrived. But it was a fun, lowkey watch after a long day — even if the dialogue doesn’t measure up to the world-class literature authorities the plot is supposed to be built around. There are a few beautiful moments, and the final montage had me truly choked up.
