Deep character study of a flawed youth in the juvenile justice system who has feelings for religion but some seriously self-destructive habits. He puts his leadership instincts to work when he skips his work-release program to fake his way as a substitute priest uniting a community torn by a recent accident. Won't spoil the story with details but suffice it to say, all the one-star reviews in this list come from folks who either didn't watch the movie (sheep) or who don't understand that Christ welcomed the flawed and forgave the sinner. Yeah, they're right about one thing -- there are extremists in every religion who are threatened by thinking about and questioning their own faith. If you have a brain, check out this movie. (And yes, 4/5 because the ending is so rough.)
