I don't need elementary "finding the roots of my ancestors". I know who's and the what's of William Sims' life 1839 and his parents, David1815 and Elizabeth (Lizzie) 1820 birth years, I know he fought in the Civil War, at the battle of Milliken's Bend. I know he bought 100 acres of land in 1896. He was a farmer and died in 1930. His wife died Tuesday, evening, February 8, 1908 about 10:00p.m. I need help in finding out some particulars of my Great, Great Grandparents births and enslavement life in Virginia USA in 1815 David and 1820 Elizabeth. They were slaves. I would like to know how did they get to Vicksburg, MS., and the life in the years of their enslavement. I was trying to find out if Dr.Gates would like to investigate someone who is not famous? Yet, My great grandfather, lived a remarkable life.
