Love this movie!!!! Finally, some people who know their limits and made a movie just to entertain us. Why everyone tries to make some statements or create discussions in a superhero movie. It's a type of movies you have to give half of the time to meaningless but entertaining stuff (action, cute boz&girls poses, and jokes), with a fixed major plot: defeat the bad guy(s) and save the world. It's extremely hard to even finish a story within an hour, and yet everyone tries to do more. Christopher Nolan was the only one could tell a good deep story while keeping it extremely entertaining, and he exhausted all the statements and discussions you can squeeze out of a superhero movie.
Simple doesn't mean bad. It actually gives more depth because you spend enough time to explain. Captain Marvel is great because it only has one character we need to learn about and she is simple (unless you haven't seen any previous Marvel movies). The whole movie only tells a story of why she's so strong physically and mentally.
No complicated love stories, no multiple stories lines, no "superhero actually weak", "am I really needed" depression stuff or try to make a hidden statement reflecting current social issue but actually too obvious (do they think we are idiots?). A strong woman, a classic type hero, no drag, no overfilling. Just a proper, clean, entertaining superhero movie.
