Whoever wrote the end of the movie should try to meet and coordinate with whoever wrote the beginning. It started with a good story and characters and had a few laughs and a good arch... and then crushed all that with infidelity, unresolved mother and child reunion, and my personal favorite was the creepiest stalker like scene where he phones, begging to back in her life, refusing to leave while she cries begging to stop, knowing he has tracked her down. How super creepy! Put horror music on this and you would actually have a much better movie in the holiday horror genre
