Just as the game, this is a visually amazing show. It has great art, animation, art and sounds. Honestly, I’m a little bit disappointed. It’s too childish and goofy for my taste, as if it’s completely aimed towards children. I would’ve really loved the usage of the “Spongebob formula”, being a children’s cartoon while still having genuinely funny moments or themes aimed at adults. Instead, they completely polished it of it’s more mature charms the original videogame had, which makes the show appear pretty bland. I absolutely love Cuphead, but this show didn’t quite hit the spot the way I would’ve liked it to.
