I thought that the depictions and character design were perfect. But the way the grinch acted was so bad. He’s a despicable man that’s chaotically evil, but instead he’s a depressed man that feels more like a mean introvert. I didn’t want to see a depressed, sad, grinch. I wanted to see him despicable, horrible, disgusting, he doesn’t even do his iconic grin, he just smiles. Throughout the entire movie he’s just rude not despicable. And all the jokes were half baked and pretty bland. “Oh no, he knocks over a snowman? He so horrible.” And the reasoning behind him hating the holiday was way worse. The whole point of him hating Christmas because of the noise was on purpose. He learns that it was a dumb reason. While in this movie it felt more like a holiday he just disliked.
