MAJOR SPOILERS
Writing this for those that have also finished the book and may share the same opinion.
It was amazingly well written. The main character, Snow, was a narcissistic self serving piece of work. So I couldn't really expect anything other than what occured, but nonetheless, I wish we were given at least some bit of satisfaction at the end regarding Lucy Gray and his relationship ending. I wish there could have been a last moment where she just destroyed his feelings, called him out for the trash he is, and then managed to escape. He could go on to have his lavish, materialistic life, but in the back of his mind her words would always eat at him. Her getting away and revoking her love would always haunt him. I feel that wouldn't have been too much to ask for since Coriolanus Snow got everything else his way. I have no sympathy for him. The author did a good job of making him likeable the first half of the book, but after what he did to Sejanus, any sympathy/empathy I had for him died.
So although the book was amazing, it was also infuriating, and I wish we could have just had one bit of satisfaction given to us at the end regarding Lucy Gray. Him spraying bullets at her through the thick woods wasn't enough of a conclusion.
And it seemed a bit rushed there at the end, with that scene. So for those reasons, I give it only 4 stars.
