I watched this as a child. I have watched it multiple times, and I have it on DVD so I can watch it whenever. I will not. No. It is terrifying. I was a young child when I watched it and it scared the bejesus out of me. I was maybe 5. I watched Jurassic Park when I was 5 and I loved it, scary but awesome. I watched Riddick when I was 5 and I was addicted to it. I watched Anacondas when I was 5 (maybe younger) and I loved it, not scary at all. But this movie? TERRIFYING. People die in those other movies! They get eaten! They get killed with teacups! There's blood, and gore, and I loved it! But Valiant was just disturbing and scary. I'm not sure quite what it was that scared me, but I just know that I don't like this movie. I remember telling my brother that I didn't want to watch it whenever he asked - we probably ended up watching One Million Years B.C., which is also not scary. I am deeply disturbed by Valiant. Also, that Dove(?) character was a little bit sexual.
