This album literally gave me chills, this reminded me why I loved kendrick in the first place. I ain't worried if it's gonna be good or bad. But this album had everything I loved about him as a rapper, the lyrics, the old-school beats from Mustard, the flow is very versatile and the delivery is 10/10. The lyrics is very different from his last album mr morale. I loved hip hop since I was kid and kendrick became my top 2 or 1 artist since the first I listened to him (I was 15 at the time). His music is a journey and it guided my life. I was all time low then he gave us Mr. Morale and it connected to me more than any rap I've heard for years and it is what I wanted to hear. To me he is like a rapper that reveals the truth despite all the fame and money he got. There's always a message every song and that's why I follow him, he ain't the mesiah but damn he raps like he the prophet and I'm down to listen every time he drops. I wasn't worried about Drake and kendrick beef had nothing on me coz knowing kendrick and comparing to drake it immediately just knew drake is gonna get cooked in any angle, but then as I expected kendrick showed he is the king by calling drake out and base on the allegations that drake did. That battle just proved that kendrick bares truth more than any rappers in the industry. I Couldn't listen to drakes rap as it mostly rap about girls, drugs, ass and money and fame, doesn't connect to me, like my life aint like that theres isnt really anything for me to learn, there's thousand rappers that could talk about that in a different beat everytime and ain't nothing special. If you got this far in my review then it shows that you're like me and no denying that you love kendrick too the same reasons I did. Cherry on top here is my top artist.
