I'm not a superhero film devotee and watched the Dark Knight as there was nothing much on TV. I thought that Heath Ledger's portrayal of the Joker matched the hype that was reported on in the media following the release of the film. I don't think explaining the plot really matters in this genre as its the action and stunts that are the main drivers of the rhythm of the film. The characters were all well acted throughout with Christian Bale giving a fine performance,as we've come to expect from him, as the main character. Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine were Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine which is no bad thing. They could play their parts in their sleep. In conclusion, it kept me interested throughout and would recommend it to be given a chance, as I did, even if the genre isn't normally your thing.

It's men and particularly rich men that are the root of all evils. Where have I heard that before? "The Admirable Crichton " meets "Lord of the Flies" meets "Below deck" meets "Das Kapital". Enjoy.
