Chilling.
I saw this film and added it to my playlist thinking not much of it, there aren't many World War 1 films out there. Nor films depicting the German Side.
Cinematography- This film is beautiful. From aerial shots depicting the destroyed landscape to incredible reveals of soldiers and tanks. This is one of the most beautiful films i have ever seen and it reminds me of 1917 if it was from a german perspective.
Sound- There isn't much difference throughout the sounds of this movie, which i think adds to the beautiful of this film. As soon as that sinister sound comes on you get chills down your spine, as soon as the more joyful sound comes you feel safe and secure and happy making you connect with the soldiers more.
Characters- Each character in this film has an incredible amount of detail snd work put into them, from an injured french soldier who turns out to have a wife and kid to the main character. Each individual has a backstory, family and a reason and opinion of the war. It makes every single person feel real and have emotions towards others.
This movie is truly one of the best and is definitely a good watch!
