Now this is the story all about how
My life got flipped, turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called Bel-air
In west Philadelphia born and raised
On the playground where I spent most of my days
Chilling out, maxing, relaxing all cool
And all shooting some b-ball outside of the school
When a couple of guys, they were up to no good
Started making trouble in my neighbourhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
And said "You're moving with your auntie and uncle in Bel-air"
I whistled for a cab and when it came near the
License plate said "fresh" and had a dice in the mirror
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought nah, forget it, yo homes to Bel-air!
I pulled up to a house about seven or eight
And I yelled to the cabby "Yo, homes smell you later!"
Looked at my kingdom I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the prince of Bel-air

This is a pretty good show! Very funny and entertaining, it was my dad's favorite show growing up so that's how we came to watch it in our family. However, it is more orientated towards teens and young adults (who grew up in the 90s) So if you are younger than 18 you probably won't get much of the cultural jokes and if you have little siblings, don't watch it. It can get PG-13.

Actually, I've decided this show is just bad. On the one hand it has some really funny jokes such as the Yo Mama scene in the season 1 episode “Love at First Fight” and tends to teach good life lessons. On the other hand, by season 3 they started to repeat jokes, way too many episodes used flashbacks as filler, it got pretty melodramatic, and a few more episodes than necessary seemed to focus on racism. Daphne Maxwell Reid replacing Janet Hubert was pretty much the final nail in the coffin.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air is one of the greatest sitcoms created. The comedy from the actors just brings life into the show. The none stop clowning, gimmicks and pick up lines from Will, the hot temper of uncle Phil, the short and funny Carlton with his one dance move, Hilary with her money craze, Jeffrey's curious and funny remarks.....etc. Still one of the greatest sitcoms every.
