****Some Spoilers below****
Honestly I've never written a review in my life and I've watched several shows and movies that I absolutely love. But as of today I just finished season 2 of "The Recruit". Now that I have seen everything this show has offered, it one of the best Series that I've ever seen! Dare I say its as good or better than "Game of Thrones" I know, I know that's a big leap and I can definitely agree it has totally different plots. The story telling is on point, showing a nobody who doesn't have anything going for him get into the CIA on track to become a deck jockey until the chair rusts out from underneath him, Then come they (Gray-Mail). This thrusts the main character into a shit show of problems and action while simultaneously circling back to a romance/ not a romance between two roommates/ then with the CIA asset fling/ coworker fling. It gets awesome to say the least!
I Don't want to spoil to much so lets fast-forward to season 2. Starting out the main (Gray-Mail) from season 1 goes south for the main character he gets benched and while he is in limbo he receives mail (Gray-Mail number 2 ) that was meant for a predecessor of his (it was an even bigger shit show) for him. As Owen does and can't resist he opens that mail putting him in a position to get him out of the last seasons mess or bury him in a blackops sights and through a way the key type shit. Personally I like season 2 the best though everything that happens in season one is a must in order to have anything make sense. I'll just give you this one part of the second season. While he is in Korea on is Lawyer mission (AKA spy mission) he runs into an his first love from when he was a child. They talk for a mi-nute amount of time then he gets swept into action, this keeps happening for the rest of the season while. On the action side of things he's been making friends and you really start to see Owen (the main character) start to get the hang of the CIA personality that goes like this, Do this now or I'll spill all your secrets. I love this season beside the way it ends it felt abrupt like it was meant for a another season at least but was cut short. That's the only thing I HATE about this show is the fact that Netflix decided that they are not going to make a 3rd season!!! WTF!@#$ I haven't been sucked into a show this fast in years and now they tell me they're canceling the a show that has so much more potential and avenues to go down.
Like I said at the beginning of this Review I've never written a review before EVER so I'm hoping that this might help keep this amazing work of art around a bit longer.
Side note: I would love to see where Owen and his Yoo Jen (Korean girlfriend) go to next and maybe she joins the CIA hit hit writes of the show take notes haha.
