A masterful work and epic tale. The Stand carries the reader through the beginning of a pandemic, to a turmoil-laden post-apocalyptic wasteland. The characters are so well developed that it will have you crying, laughing, cheering and stressed out. The extended edition is long, but you will be glad it is. The Stand is one of those books you just cannot seem to put down. It is a great book for not just Stephen King fans, but for fans of great literature. This is a must-read book.
