how to train your dragon is one of my favorite movies, and the fact that they almost redid it word for word and still messed it up that bad is crazy. the animated version has more emotion and depth than this version could dream of. it was definitely rushed but even if they took more time with the set, special effects and cgi, the acting was so bad, i really have no other words other than awful. the acting wasn’t just like it was cringe, it was dry and empty and felt so fake, like a middle school theater performance. i couldn’t even get through the movie before just turning it off with such disappointment. i put on the OG version after this.
