First of all, kudos to Jamie Dornan for stepping into this silly chaotic romp and stretching his comedic acting skills. The story is not realistic at all and is farcical in almost every way except the friendship between Barb and Star. The scenes and dialogue between Kristin and Annie are both funny and touching. Their timing and the way they related and spoke to each showed off their talents as a duo. The cameos were an added surprise. That being said, this film is a mix of genres. Watch this movie for pure escape, not expecting much of it to make any sense. It’s reminiscent of Lucy and Ethel antics, Marx Brothers slap stick, and Jim Carey type of humor.
