I was excited to play FM on PC after all these years of waiting and even buying a PS5 for Gran Turismo 7 to scratch the sim racing itch. I was always more of Forza Motorsports fan, however, and was really looking forward to the new one. So now, once it came out, I am left wondering what even took them so long? The game is buggy, has unimpressive graphics and wonky gameplay mechanics. I mean, seriously, after all these years this is what we get? One of the most frustrating bugs is the game dropping to 50% of fps after every race or two. It goes from 60-70 fps on a 5600X with RTX 3080 to 30-40 fps and becomes essentially unplayable until you restart the game. Did they even test this game before releasing? What happened to simple quality control? I guess back to GT7 I go until they fix this mess. It only gets a star from me for the vehicle sounds which are great and change depending on mods you install.
