This movie was disturbing & thought provoking. Our family is facing the same circumstance & so my reaction is colored by that circumstance. The faked death scenes were shocking, even when using stunt doubles. Particularly worrisome was the Halloween setup which I felt was cruel . Not sure Dick ever really understimood what was happening & was just livingly appeasing his daughter.
