There really isn’t that much that’s good about this show. From a technical perspective it’s awful. Fires in outer space with no fuel or oxygen, entire mountains and castles made of stone and metal burning down due a book being lit on fire, characters doing things randomly with no motive or insight into their thought, bland and predictable characters, a character kills themselves because another character said to and we get no explanation as to why, and much more.
The identity politics is also a major issue. Disneys “diversity” shouldn’t be forced in our faces. Andor had a diverse cast with people of different races and LQBTQ characters, and it was a really good show that many people enjoyed. The Acolyte is just “diverse” so Disney can say they are diverse and market it with no thought behind it whatsoever. Race and other factors shouldn’t be what makes a story special. It should be the story itself that makes it special.
