If you are a person of color, you would probably understand the movie more. I really wouldn’t trust the rotten tomato score; just see it for yourself. The acting and storyline reminded me a lot of the feel good movies of the 90s; it was so nostalgic! Loved it! As a black single mother, this movie really spoke to me. Especially the scene where the mom tells the boys that they cannot play with their toy guns outside. I literally have to have this conversation with my sons DAILY. I LOVED this movie! It was relatable, authentic, realistic and funny! I saw myself in the movie several times and my family too! I am so glad that Disney has finally got some diverse writers that are able to tell stories that speak to everyone and not just one group. Keep it up Disney!
