This was one of the best WW2 movies I have ever watched that does not depict a battle front. The lives of the populace are cast in a simple yet engaging way, while the scenes capture the mood and situation perfectly. Without any spoilers, the main characters cleverly capture the various human aspects that unite us all, regardless of nationality and ideology. It may not move quickly, but that just means it is easier to immerse oneself in the genius.

This is a pretty good show! Relatable characters, plot twists that kept me revisiting my theories, the constantly hovering spectre of the dangers of human trafficking.... all in all, definitely worth watching.

Amazing. This was an AMAZING movie that showcased the ingenuity and resilience of a mother (and, I am hoping/guessing, the human spirit). The sheer grit of Mia exhibited in this movie would make Bear Grylls proud. I thoroughly recommend this show!

I have watch all the Ah Boys movies, including the one where they went to reservist and was curious what would be brought to the table this time round. First off, the level of tekkaning (or discipline) was beyond the first two and was more like that for the NDU edition! That was surprising since, if this was an inaugural batch of female recruits, I would have thought they would be extremely lenient. The movie was overall rather enjoyable but the Singlish/bad English was too much. Even for a movie striving to deliver a local flavour, this was too much. But, still a light-hearted show worth watching for a few laughs!
