I grew up reading the Babysitters Club. I understand that they want things to be more inclusive, but I feel like they are doing the character of Jessica Ramsey a huge disservice. A big plot point of the whole series was that Jesse's family was the only black family in Stonybrook Connecticut and they had difficulty being accepted. They became accepted and loved for who they were and I think it was a better lesson to all us little kids than just adding black characters to a TV show. Flame away but that is my two cents.
