They shouldn’t have bothered continuing it, if this is what they could come up with. After 4 years!!!
As someone very aptly stated below, it’s disjointed. No character backstory, and way too many new characters, just like season 1, except more vague. We barely knew the back stories about the season 1 characters, except Anak, and thought s2 would expand on them, only to see a new set of people in s2.
If they were attempting to create mystery and intrigue, then it was a successful failure.
However, over the past 4 years a lot of people kept requesting for a second season, so if their strategy is to make it so bad, that no one would clamour for a third season, then it’s been a brilliant success. A few others could learn from them.
Having gone on a rant, I have no choice but to complete it, I can’t stop a story mid-way, if not I’d literally never really be able to forget it cause I’d always wonder; hence my current situation. I don’t like the manga’s art, so reading it would be extremely tedious.
That being said, if it eventually becomes really good, I’d come back here to retract my words, as vocally as my criticisms. There’s no shame in being wrong, and there’s pride in admitting when one is wrong.
Cheers.
