Absolutely crap. If the show was deep and meaningful when it was released, then it hasn’t aged well. I could hardly watch the show, only got to episode 11. They had a giant stick up its proverbial butt. It tried so hard to have philosophical human and sociological insights and depth but came deathly short, seriously it was lifeless and mega boring. Never cared about the characters or story. There are so many other anime of the time and have aired since that are a billion times better.

My sister and I have been watching this movie since it was available on DvD. As teens we watched it along with spirit and beauty and the beast every weekend. We know every line and song by heart. 25 yrs later on she’s 30 and I’m 27 we still live the movie and song. I can’t wait for my own kids to spread to love to the next generations. It’s one of the best animated movies from Dream Works. Even though the graphics/animation has advanced it doesn’t ruin the experience, it fits the story making it a style for the movie. The music is timeless too. I can see myself at 100 yrs old and still watching hopefully with my great grandkids.
