I can’t even imagine what it would be like to be royal but Prince Harry doesn’t paint a bright and cheerful picture of his own experiences living within the institution. He even refers to being part of a ‘Human Zoo’ and I do not feel like he is far off in his statement. His family doesn’t even seem to care about his own well-being as they turn away or rather ignore the horrible treatment of their new daughter-in-law. I would assume that they would have done the right thing and stood up for Megan as she does represent a new turning point for the monarchy. However, their poor lack of action is what caused this gargantuan rift in the family. This lack of action from the monarchy or carelessness from the British Press put a lot of that stress onto Harry and his new wife. He being a new husband and father did what any good husband would have done. He protected his family. This came at a huge cost for him because it estranges him from his entire family. I do not blame him one bit for his decision. I am a devout Christian and the vow one makes before God in marriage is sacred, ‘as two become one’. He had every right to do what he did and he owes no one an explanation.
