Clooney 's role is really good. The Arctic setting presents all the elements of a solitary, resolute and death gripped man.
The child / future astronaut is fantastic.
The never answerable notion of one man and one woman going to an edenic new world to start again... after the careless destruction of Earth is simply too clichรฉ. Also, the spacecraft scenes were ridiculous.
