This movie has privilege splattered all over it and a monster of a child in the main character who's completely unlikable, selfish and self centered. Kid is rich enough to live in a huge house, have all the toys he wants and have Christmas in Tokyo but sure, he definitely needs to take toys meant for less fortunate children. Weird plot choices all the way around. The point of this movie is if you're a rich little brat you can take and steal whatever you want, no matter who it affects and if someone tries to get their stuff back, you hurt them and bad. Not the same as the original at all.
