If you love CATS the Musical, you will ADORE this movie adaptation!!! It thoroughly enhances the experience of the music, the dance, and the individual characters. The production values and all the London sets are feasts for the eye. Casting was perfect - Ian McKellen best GUS ever!!! ; likewise Judy Dench et al. Critics must be daft and/or ignorant of T S Eliot’s feline poetry and the whole back story of Webber’s masterful creation. Victoria (and the new song “Beautiful Ghosts”) are excellent additions to bolster the narrative. Even Jennifer Hudson’s singing was nuanced for Memory, the one worry we had in advance. Everything just BRILLIANT all ‘round - has our highest recommendation! We intend to see this again on the big screen. Thank you for this production!!!!!!!
