Evil Dead Rise which should be a brutal and suspenseful spectacle, turns out to be a drama of morals, romanticized heroism and irrelevant feminism! motherhood, and gender equality of expected brutal scenes. The Deadites, who should be fearsome foes, end up looking like victims of hysteria who haven't hurt their own child. Besides that, Deadite's inconsistent behavior confuses me, sometimes they act as babysitters, sometimes they wander around aimlessly like mall visitors. Where is the brutality promised? Viewers are haunted by the question, 'When will the horror scene start?' And what does feminism have to do with it? It would be better to focus on consistent character and plot development rather than forcing feminism into the narrative. It feels like an attempt to convey a social message with no apparent relevance to the story. I really appreciate the strong representation of women in film, but here it feels forced and inorganic. I think Evil Dead should get back to their true evil roots! I really feel entertained by this film, but I'm a little disappointed, please fix this mistake in the future, use a more complex and new story.
