This book is amazing! The fate of the many universes of this book lies in the hands of 12-year-old Lyra Silvertongue and her friends Will and Mary as you go through a journey of adventure, love and betrayal. It's impossible to tear your eyes from the pages until you find out the fate of these courageous heroes, and you will find yourself enchanted by the realistic writing from Phillip Pullman about finding daemons. The last chapter nearly made me cry with sorrow and if you are new to the series, you won't feel like that for long after you meet these legendary characters. I would give this 6 stars if I could.
