This movie is not a masterpiece of cinema and it doesn't have to be. It's a masculine tale of an imperfect father who wants the chance to know his son.. this movie has guts, character, and underlying message of how the world really is and how life can turn out. This movie is all about heart and courage. I watch this movie usually a couple times a year (since I was a kid) to make me realize to never give up and to stay focused at the task at hand. Great movie to show kids and for anyone that needs a pick-me-up at life
