I have seen this movie several times and love it. I have read all of the books and wish they had followed up after Daniel was left with them. The storyline is intriguing. I first saw the movie in theaters when it premiered. It was while I was studying ancient Hebrew in graduate school. Daniel having to learn how to pronounce the words in their language to then be able to speak it resonated with me.
