Honestly, I was nervous when I saw the trailer. I mean I was expecting a lot and what I saw kind of disappointed me acting-wise so when I watched the movie I tried to be open-minded and while the start was a bit cringe-worthy for me, by the time Aladdin was flirting with Jasmine in her room while stealing her jewelry I knew this movie would be more than alright. I especially love the addition of Dahlia and her funny antics. I super love Jasmine's song and her aspiration to be Sultan. As a feminist, there are no words to describe how much I admire Princess Jasmine. I was also worried about Smith's portrayal of Genie. I know he's a good comedian but I just thought I would be too biased for Robbie's portrayal but in the end, Smith's Genie shined in its own way so I just love this movie.
