Have played MMOs since EverQuest, and will say this about New World: it held my attention for 8 hours, and kept me up well past the time I normally go to sleep. It’s fun so far but I’m still on the front side of the game. Im skeptical about the faction/pvp mechanics as historically such things are implementation nightmares but perhaps they will figure out how to make it work. I’m giving this 5 stars for now as my expectations for the starting experience were exceeded. Oh, and it looks damn good at 4K.
