A smart and powerful film. It is very well written and utterly gripping. Great performances throughout. September 5 deserves to be widely seen and widely praised.

I’m not qualified to talk about the films historical accuracy. Meir is a controversial figure. But as a drama this is first rate. Some have called it boring. It is not. It is clever and subtle. The scenes where Meir is sat with the military making impossible decisions about how to fight this war are utterly compelling. There are great performances throughout. Bravo to all involved.
