I've been reading and re-reading this book for almost 60 years. I have to say it was my favorite book for most of those years. The beautiful descriptions of the house and lands... But this reading just made me mad. I am finally put out with the no-name Mrs. DeWinter for being so childish and self-conscience. Why marry a man of wealth and standing if you can't adjust to his world. She wasted so much time thinking about HERSELF and how hard her new life was. Get a grip, girl! I guess I've grown out of Rebecca. Give me Beatrice any day!
