Ridiculously cheesy to the point of cringe. The beginning is good but it took a lot of things from the 2003 live action movie and then decided to make it 10 times worse. It felt so rushed and then the end was like “WOW LOOK AT ME AND HOW AMAZING THIS MOVIE IS” with the ridiculously happy soundtrack music which made it feel so shallow as it did not match the scene. I found myself laughing at the actors and the situations as it felt so unnatural like the mom and dad‘s reaction to a bunch of random kids in the upstairs room. just a disaster of a movie tbh. I feel that Disney is ruining everything with these live actions by focusing too much on appearing cool and not focusing on what really matters. It’s so ingenuous and full of random scenes sort of like all their other new stuff (live action Mulan, Aladdin, beauty and the beast, etc). So much potential wasted because of the excessiveness of it all.
