i loved it. period. i love the message it sends off, and (SPOILERS) in those last scenes of the movie where Kate realizes that she was just a puppet, that she "could've" changed her life, but at the end, she was doing something that no one asked her to do. To change a kids life, and that she got what she wished for (becoming a parent figure, drinking that juice), only if it's for just a day. So, yeah, for some people this might be just a cheesy action movie but for me, i sense a depth in taking back control for both Kate and the Yakuza boss/ wicked swordsman who hopefully will start taking care of his niece.
