i really enjoyed this light hearted kids film! i thought it was fab, and quite funny. but i couldn’t help but think the character “Wild Knuckles” was strikingly similar to the pedophile - Jimmy Saville. He looks almost exactly the same as him, wearing some of Jimmys looks throughout the film. But the part that caught my off guard the most was the right at the end where Gru says to WK “I can’t wait to fake my own death to avoid the authorities”. Jimmy was never arrested for his crimes, the morning his arrest was due to happen he was found dead, after avoiding prison for months. I just thought it was oddly similar … but maybe that’s just me
