A half baked abstract rendering of a heart breaking tragedy which could have otherwise been directed and delivered much more powerfully to provoke the thoughts of the audience on the intensity of the suffering and grief of the Uphaar victims and their families. Felt that the series was being unreasonably dragged over the episodes, trying too hard to accommodate different narratives at the same time which just felt chaotic and left the viewers confused as to what was happening. That being said the last episode was shot pretty powerfully , although it could've been included in an earlier episode to involve the viewer more into the pain of the families. The series did not pay full justice to it's title itself, more court proceedings and the intricacies of courtroom trials would've proven significantly more impactful. Acting was spot on, especially the characters Veer singh and his wife - absolutely brilliant acting. The subtle introduction of the gay couple in the last episode felt more interwoven and naturalistic compared to others. The different approaches to grief taken by both of the Krishnamoorty's has also been captured effectively, although one towards the end might start to find Mrs Krishnamoorty's character to be mildly off putting , which clearly shouldn't have been the case. Overall a great attempt, which somewhere lost it's humanistic impact along the line.
